Bloons Tower Defense 4

"Wow..."

date: December 5, 2009

Now, I was greatly impressed by the improvements in TD3 and back then I couldn't think of how you could improve it for a fourth version. I absolutely love the additions you've made to this game. I'm level 43 so that just goes to show how many games I've played so far. This game has much better replay value than the prevoius versions, and really stands out as one of the greatest Tower Defense games I've ever played. The Mochi games account with save game capabilities is really useful too. My only complaint is that the fast forward button doesn't seem to do anything, but even that isn't enough to lower my rating down from a 10. Excellent work.

"I like it."

date: October 30, 2009

There is absolutely nothign wrong with this flash game. The arrows are in sync with the musicand I liked how the difficulty increased as the song went on. The only problem was that there was only one song. If you added a few more songs from the game and spread them across 3 difficulties then this would be a 10 in my eyes.

"Nice, but..."

submission: SSC ep: 4

There were a few things that got to me.

First of all, the way you used the music. The music didn't quite fit in with the flash. You just played the tracks over the flash without them fitting in to well with what was going on (except for the sadness and sorrow one which fitted in nicely). It felt to me as though I was listening to my Ipod whilst watching the flash, and the music and animation just didn't quite go together (I actually have final destination and Show no tears on my Ipod, though that is irrelivent.)

Secondly, I can clearly see that you are a very good sprite animator however there were a few parts of the animation where I just thought; 'Meh'. The fight scene was where I felt this the most. It felt more like turn based combat rather than a proper fight at some points (although you did an excellent job on some parts). For example you had sonic & Mecha sonic running side by side for about 5 seconds. That was pretty boring fight wise. To make stuff like that more interesting, maybe have mecha sonic shooting at sonic whilst sonic dodges the shots or something along those lines. In a fight to the death the fight should be epic, and I know you have the potential to incorporate better stuff into a scene like that.

Finally, the drama with falco and sonics transformation, just wasn't very dramatic. You may have chosen a good song, but the whole thing just didn't seem believable, neither did it feel entirely sad. I think it could have been improved with some more sound effects, for example a cry of pain as falco is obliterated.

These are just my thoughts though. I'm probably being a bit harsh with my review; I know I'm no animator, and I've also been stunned recently by the brilliance of SMBZep8, however I'm sure you can understand why I can't give you a 10 with something like that out there. Keep up the animating though, its obvious you have great potential.

Voice From The Hell

"Epic."

date: October 15, 2009

I must admit, this is one of the best Sonic remixes I have ever heard. You managed to remix an already epic soundtrack without destroying the original brilliance. The orchestra was definatly the best choice for your instrumentation; all the techno remixes on this site are weak in comparrison to the songs they're a remix of. This however doesn't spoil any of the quality of the original soundtrack. 10/10 for a job done right.

Stupid Mario Brothers Theme

"Alright I suppose"

date: July 1, 2009

I suppose this song is decent considering the genre. I've never liked Punk music so combining Punk music with my favourite Youtube series was never going to go down well with me. From my point of view all Punk singers sound out of tune. I have to admit thought, the chorus sounded quite good, but Punk music doesn't seem to suit Mario stuff from my point of view. Just know that I am expecting something brilliant from you guys for the Movie so don't mess it up.

Dynasty Warriors-Yellow Storm

"Nice but..."

date: January 7, 2009

It was definatly missing something. The current insruments you're using certainly suit the track, but throughout the entire piece I was just waiting for it to kick off... which it didn't. There was never more than 2 insruments at the same time. I think it would sound alot better if it had drums in, a bass guitar.
